Oysterfest 2011
The Walrus took the day off Sunday, October 2nd to take in Oysterfest in Shelton, Washington. Our own Anthony Pane took 9th place overall in the halfshell shucking competition, and Cody Spafford placed 22nd in the same event. This 30-year-old oyster celebration is the premier West Coast oyster shucking event, and we couldn’t be more proud of Anthony’s and Cody’s efforts.
Closed September 3rd and 5th
We will be closed Saturday, September 3rd and Monday, September 5th. Open Sunday, September 4th, and back at it Tuesday, September 6th. Have a great holiday weekend!
Bon Appetite
Walrus is thrilled to be named by Bon Appetit Magazine as 1 of the 10 best new restaurants in America!
Great Success
A big thank you to everyone who turned out, pitched in, and helped us to raise over $5000 for the Puget Soundkeepers Alliance. I am already looking forward to next year’s party!

Bizarre Foods
Andrew Zimmern, Chris Marino, and the rest of the crew filmed a segment for an upcoming episode of Bizarre Foods on Northwest eats at the Walrus last month. Watch for us on the Travel Channel sometime next year.
